About Slyde

The Product

Slyde the Playground Hound promotes fun and safety, allowing children to feel safe while having fun, especially while they are doing what they are hard-wired to do: take risks.

The Essence

To engage, inspire, and influence the health and safety of children everywhere.

For children to successfully navigate life’s challenges at school, at home, and at play, they need positive role models that emulate healthy living and communicate safe behaviors.

Often children emulate famous athletes, actors, or popular musicians as prescribed by current pop culture trends and the media. However, such examples may fall short as positive role models in conveying messages of excellence, dependability, and respect that parents, educators, and childcare givers want for their children.

Slyde the Playground Hound is a positive role model whose influence is enduring and ageless. Slyde teaches children to be respectful of their everyday environment and to be tolerant and compassionate with their peers. Slyde empowers children to be safety conscious and respond to potential dangers in healthy ways.

To engage, inspire, and influence the health and safety of children: this is the essence of Slyde the Playground Hound.

Lucky Dog Recreation
Nicole Stoddard is President of LuckyDog Recreation a DBA of Playground Hound, LLC. "I am forever grateful to Slyde for educating parents, teachers, and especially children to be aware of playground safety. The burning question on my mind is . . . has playground safety education Slyde style saved a child's life? The beauty of this question is that the answer can never be known. And, isn't that what Slyde and his message to children at large is all about?" When Nicole is not helping her LuckyDog Recreation customers find safe, fun, and creative solutions for their playgrounds, she dreams of making Slyde the next “big” child icon. "I can visualize Slyde on kids backpacks, pajamas and bedsheets, and more importantly, at hundreds of playgrounds teaching children of all ages how to navigate the world of play though a child's eye." It's Your Playground, Play-Fully! Nicole :-)
